Selection Procedure:
The candidates will have to go through 3 phases as given below to qualify for this post.
Phase 1: Railway Group D Computer Based Test
The Question Paper for First Stage CBT will be of
- 90 minutes duration
- 100 questions
- 120 minutes for PwBD candidates.
Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories:
UR – 40%
EWS – 40%
OBC – 30%
SC – 30%
ST – 30 %

Phase 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Passing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is obligatory and the criterion for PET is as under:

| Should be able to pick up and bring 35 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down; andShould be able to run 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance. | Should be able to pick up and carry 20 Kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 minutes in one chance without putting the weight down; and Should be able to run 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance. |
Phase 3: Document Verification (DV) and Medical Examination
Based on the presentation of candidates in CBT and PET, aspirants twice the number of vacancies will be called for Document Verification. Eligible candidates will be finally selected for the posts.
