Indian Post Office Driver Recruitment Details 2024 –

Application Fee :-

• Gen / OBC / EWS : Rs. 100/-
• SC / ST  : Rs. 100/-
• Pay Examination Fee Through Indian Postal Order UCR Receipt.

Qualification Details:

• Possession of a valid driving license for light & heavy motor vehicles.
• Knowledge of Motor mechanism.
• Experience of driving in Light & Heavy motor vehicles at least for 3 years.
• Pass in 10th from a recognized Board or Institute.
• Desirable qualification- Three years service as Home Guard or Civil Volunteers.

Required Age Limit:- As on 16.02.2024

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 27 years
• Age Relaxation: – SC/ ST /OBC/ Candidates Relaxation as per Government Rule Regulation.

Salary Package:

• Driver (Ordinary Grade) – Rs. 19900- 63200/- (Level-2 in the pay matrix as per 7th CPC)

India Post Driver Mode of Selection:

Selection of Driver shall be made on the basis of driving test to assess their competency to drive light and heavy motor vehicles including knowledge of Motor Mechanisms and ability to remove minor defects in vehicle, Theory Test amongst the candidates possessing the requisite eligibility criteria mentioned above. The pattern and syllabus of the tests, date and venue of the tests will be intimated separately to the eligible candidates. No intimation will be sent in respect of other applicants who are not eligible.

• Practical test (20 Marks)
• Document Verification
• Medical Examination.

Test for knowledge of General Knowledge, Simple arithmetic, General intelligence & reasoning, Motor Mechanism and Traffic Rules, signals and regulation.

How to Apply Offline Form :-

The eligible candidates may submit their applications only in the prescribed format in Annexure-I, affixing their recent passport size photograph, duly filled in along with enclosures and Indian Postal Order for Rs. 100/- in favour of Manager Mail Motor Service, Kanpur payable at Kanpur HO should be enclosed as application fee in an envelope super scribed as “APPLICATION FOR DIRECT RECRUITMENT TO THE POST OF DRIVER IN UP CIRCLE” addressed to, MANAGER (GR.A), Mail Motor Service Kanpur, GPO Compound, Kanpur-208001, Uttar Pradesh.
