Age Limit :-
The upper age limit for Junior Research Fellow (JRF)is 30 years as on 1st day of the month in which the examination is concluded i.e. 01.06.2026 (This age limit is applicable for the current examination only)
Assistant Professor, Admission to PhD- No Age Limit
There is a relaxation of 5 years on the upper age limit for OBC-NCL, SC, ST, women, and PwD

Education Qualification:-
The candidate should have a Master’s degree or its equivalent from a board or university recognized by UGC with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for ST/SC/OBC/PwD) in the Master’s degree in the relevant stream.
4 Year Bachelor Degree Candidate Also Eligible.
Appearing Candidates in the final year of the qualifying exam can also apply.
NTA UGC NET Exam Pattern :-
The exam will be conducted in online mode i.e. Computer Based Test.
The exam paper will consist of two papers.
Exam will be conducted in two shifts
The total duration of both the papers is 3 hours (without any break)
Timing of Examination First Shift: 09.00 am to 12.00 pm / Second Shift: 03.00 pm to 06.00 pm
