Stage-I

• Physical Measurement & Endurance Test (PMET)

Stage-II

• Written Test
• Verification of Documents

Delhi Home Guard Written Test Exam Pattern 2024 :-

Candidates who have applied for Home Guard post have to qualify the Written Test (CBT) to be eligible for appointment to the post. Candidates should check the Delhi Home Guard Exam Pattern to get information about the exam structure, maximum marks, duration of the exam and marking scheme. Here the exam pattern of the written test is given in detail below.

The Exam Pattern will be as Follows:

• Candidates who qualify the physical examination will be called for the written examination.
• Questions will be of objective type with multiple choice.
• There will be a total of 80 questions in this written examination,
• 01 marks are allotted for each correct answer.
• The Exam Will be Based on the Subjects- Mathematics, Constitution of India, General Science & General awareness & Etc.
• The Exam Time Duration of 01:30 Hours. (90 minutes)
• Level Of exam paper will be of matriculation standard (10th class).
• Question paper will bilingual in Hindi & English languages.

Delhi Home Guard Syllabus 2024 :-

Mathematics –

• Arithmetic: Number System, Percentage, Ratio and Proportion, Average, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest.
• Algebra: Basic Algebraic Identities, Polynomials, Linear Equations.
• Geometry: Basic Geometry, Triangles, Circles, Quadrilaterals.

General Science-

• Physics: Topics such as Laws of Motion, Work, Energy, Power, Sound, Light, Heat, etc.
• Chemistry: Topics such as Chemical Reactions, Elements, Compounds, Acids and Bases, etc.
• Biology: Topics like the Human Body, Nutrition, Diseases, Living Organisms, etc.

General Intelligence and Reasoning-

• Verbal and Non–Verbal Reasoning, Analogies, Coding and Decoding, Blood Relations, Syllogism, Decision Making, and Visual Memory, etc

History, Culture & Topography of Delhi –

• Historical Events especially related to Delhi, Cultural Heritage, Monuments, Geography and Topography.

Constitution of India –

• Preamble, Fundamental Rights and Duties, Directive Principles of State Policy, Amendments.
• Citizenship, Union and its Territory, Parliament, President, Judiciary.

Ancient Indian History and Culture –

• Indus Valley Civilization, Vedic Period, Maurya and Gupta Empires, Art and Architecture.
• Literature, Religion, Philosophy, Social Structure.

Geography and General Knowledge –

• Earth and its Structure, Climate, Population, Natural Resources.
• Indian and World Geography, Capitals, Currencies, and Current Affairs.

Current Affairs –

• National and International News, Sports, Awards, Summits, and Government Policies.

Award of Bonus Marks –

The Bonus marks would be awarded to the candidates as per the bonafide clam in accordance with the fulfillment of following as submitted by the applicant in his/her application. However, the same will be verified during Document Verification and on any false information/claim, candidature shall be rejected.

A maximum of 20 marks as bonus will be awarded as per following details :

i) Bonus Marks for NCC (5 Marks Maximum) :
a) NCC Certificate ‘C’ Class – 05 Marks
b) NCC Certificate ‘B’ Class – 03 Marks
c) NCC Certificate ‘A’ Class – 02 Marks

ii) Bonus marks for Experience as Home Guards
3 years and above experience as Home Guard Volunteer – 10 Marks

iii) Bonus Marks for Experience in Civil Defence
03 years and above experience as Civil Defence Volunteer – 05 Marks

iv) Having certificate of Part Time Instructor Course or minimum two Civil Defence Advance courses from CTI-Delhi or any one course from NCDC-Nagpur/CTI-Bangalore. – 05 Marks
