Through this scheme, a pension facility is provided to all the old citizens of the country after retirement. This facility is given to the beneficiary at the age of 60 years in the form of ₹ 1000 to ₹ 5000 Statutory Granted Pension based on his contribution to the scheme; the beneficiary himself can choose this amount. Under the Atal Pension Yojana, if the beneficiary dies for any reason, then the pension benefit is given to his nominee.
