What is National Means-cum Merit Scholarship Scheme ?

Under the National Scholarship Scheme, up to ₹ 60,000 will be given by the government to the students and girls to study. All the students and girls studying in class VIII can participate in NMMS Scholarship. For this, all the beneficiaries will have to register and pass the online intensive test. All the candidates must have passed with 55% marks in class 7th. If the candidates pass the examination of NMMS Scholarship Scheme, then further candidates will be given ₹ 12000 every year by the government. National Means Cum Merit Scholarship 2023 :-

The online application for National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Scholarship is going to be held from 20 September 2022 to 30 September 2022. All the students and girls who are studying in class 8, all those candidates should participate in this scholarship scheme. Check all the information carefully before applying form. What are the main Purpose of NMMS Scholarship 2023?

• The main Purpose of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to the economically weak meritorious students.
• The objective of this scheme is to reduce the drop out rate after class VIII.
• Financially weak students can also pursue further studies
• The Purpose of this scheme is to increase the stay in schools from class 9th to 12th.
• The Purpose of this scheme is to increase the quality of government schools and eliminate illiteracy.

NMMS Scholarship 2023 Eligibility Criteria :- 

• Those candidates who want to apply for this scholarship should be a student of class VII.
• The applying student must have secured at least 55% marks in class VII and it has been kept 50% for the reserved student.
• This scholarship will be provided to the meritorious and needy student of India only.
• In this scholarship, such students can apply who should be studying regularly in class VIII in government school or in government schools.
• In order to continue with the scholarship in higher secondary school, the student has to secure a minimum of 60% marks in the class 10th board examination.
• The student has to secure minimum 55% marks in class 11th to continue with the scholarship in class 12th. 5% relaxation is given to reserved categories.
• The annual income of the student’s family should not exceed Rs 1.50 lakh.
